These wraps are designed with chenille and cotton stripes. The combination of weave structure and the use of high twist wool yarn in the weft causes the fabric to form luxurious pleats when it is removed from the loom. On the loom these scarves have to be woven 3 times the required finished width to allow for the transformation.
The Fibonacci Pleat Wrap is so called because the interlocking stripe order for the two colours follows the Fibonacci sequence 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, etc. This sequence of numbers occurs in nature and each subsequent number is the sum of the two previous numbers.
