Tapestries
All tapestries are designed and hand woven by myself, and supplied ready to hang; mounted and framed under glass in maple-veneer box frames (see picture on right).
When a tapestry is woven the image is produced at the same time as the fabric is constructed row by row from the bottom upwards. This offers endless possibilities for design and colour combination as each row is unique. The image gradually emerges as the tapestry progresses. Tapestries by their very nature are a labour of love being slow to produce but the result is an image with both surface texture and depth.
